- Pentosan polysulfate sodium. Low molecular weight antiinflammatory facilitating absorption through the skin.
- Triamcinolone acetonide. Corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and itching.
- Lidocaine. local anesthetic to relieve pain or discomfort caused by hemorrhoids.
2. WHAT IT IS USED ANSO
It is a rectal ointment indicated to treat both external and internal hemorrhoids.
Check with your doctor before using ANSO if:
· If you have bleeding hemorrhoids.
· If you have hemorrhoidal infections.
· If you are allergic to any of the active ingredients of this medicine or any of the other ingredients of the ointment.
Avoid contact with eyes or close to the same areas. Wash your hands well after each application.
ANSO not use large areas of the skin, for prolonged periods, with or occlusive diapers cures because, due to increased absorption, can result in systemic effects as hypertension, diabetes, Cushing's syndrome.
If symptoms worsen or last longer than 7 days or if irritation or infection superinfection occurs, discontinue the application and consult your doctor.
Caution is advised when this ointment is used in the elderly, or debilitated patients in acute phase because they may be more sensitive to the systemic effects of the active ingredients.
It is not recommended for treatment in children and adolescents, as no clinical studies have been conducted on these.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
There are insufficient data on the use of ANSO in pregnant or lactating, so should only be used when the physician considers that the benefits justify the potential risks.
Driving and using machines:
ANSO not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Important information about some of the components of ANSO rectal ointment information:
This medicine, contain butyl hydroxyanisole as an excipient, it can be irritating to eyes and mucous skin.
Athletes are warned that this medicine contains a component that can establish an analytical result of doping control as positive.
Using other medicines:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
If you are being treated with medicines for heart arrhythmias, consult your doctor as lidocaine should be administered with caution in patients treated with antiarrhythmic medicines.
4. HOW TO USE ANSO rectal ointment
Follow these instructions unless your doctor gave you different advice. Remember to use the medicine.
Before application of the affected ANSO should be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. Dry and apply the ointment.
As a general rule, apply 1 to 3 times a day a thin layer of cream on the area to be treated. You must apply a volume of rectal ointment on the anal region with a finger, using your fingertip to overcome the resistance of the sphincter. Wash hands well after use.
If the ointment be applied inside the rectum, screwed into the tube attached applicator and insert the tip into the anus. Then apply a small amount of ointment exerting slight pressure on the tube.
It is recommended that the applications after bowel movements.
If it considers that the action of ANSO is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
If you use more ANSO rectal ointment than you should:

5. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
ANSO Like all medicines can have side effects.
Occasionally may appear adverse allergic reactions at the application site manifested by itching, burning, irritation, dryness, allergic contact dermatitis, especially if the preparation is used on large areas of skin or for an extended time.

6. HOW TO STORE ANSO rectal ointment
ANSO Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Keep the tube tightly closed.
