1. WHAT IS Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT AND WHAT IT IS USED
Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT is in the form of effervescent tablets for oral administration. Each pack contains 20 tablets. The tablets have a slot that allows them in half.
Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT belongs to the group of medicines called analgesics and antipyretics.
Efferalgan EFERVESCENTE 500 mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain intensity, and to reduce fever.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT not take Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT:
If you have experienced an allergic reaction to acetaminophen or any other part of
Efferalgan 500 mg EFERVESCENTE.
Also do not take this medicine if you have a liver disease. Take special care with Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT: Do not take more doses than recommended in section 3.
If the pain persists for more than 10 days (5 days for children), fever for more than 3 days, or pain or fever or other symptoms worsen, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
The use of paracetamol in patients who consume alcohol regularly (three or more alcoholic drinks a day) can cause liver damage.
In chronic alcoholics, you should be careful not to take more than 2 g / day of paracetamol.
In patients with kidney, heart or lung disease and patients with anemia, consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine. Medicine use during pregnancy can be dangerous for the embryo and fetus. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, consult your doctor before taking Efferalgan 500 mg EFERVESCENTE.

It has not been described any effect which affect driving and using machines.
Taking other medicines:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines including those obtained without a prescription.

3. HOW TO TAKE Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT:
Follow these instructions unless your doctor gave you different advice. Remember to take your medicine.
Your doctor will indicate the duration of treatment with 500 mg EFFERVESCENT Efferalgan. Do not stop treatment before because, otherwise, the medicine may not have the desired effect.
Adults: The usual adult dose is 1 or 2 tablets (500 or 1000 mg) 3 or 4 times a day. more than 8 tablets (4,000 mg) in 24 hours is not taken.
Patients with liver disease or kidney disease: should consult a physician.
Children 4 and 5 years: The usual dose is ½ tablet every 4-6 hours. Do not take more than 2 tablets every 24 hours and a half.
Children 6 to 10 years: The usual dose is ½ tablet every 4-6 hours. Do not take more than 3 tablets every 24 hours.
Children under 11 years: The usual dose is 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours. Do not take more than 5 tablets every 24 hours.
Children 12 years or more: the usual dose is 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours. Do not take more than 6 tablets every 24 hours.
The tablets should be swallowed with a glass of water.

If swallowed an overdose, you should quickly go immediately to a medical center even if no symptoms because they often do not manifest until after 3 days from the ingestion of overdose, even in cases of severe poisoning.
Symptoms of overdose may include: dizziness, vomiting, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice) and abdominal pain.
Treatment of overdose is most effective if started within 4 hours after ingestion of the medicine.
Patients treated with barbiturates or chronic alcoholics may be more susceptible to the toxicity of an overdose of paracetamol.
If you forget to take Efferalgan 500 mg EFFERVESCENT:
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose, just take the missed dose when you remember and take the next dose separation between shots indicated in each case (4 to 6 hours).
