COMPOSITION
Each 5 ml contain:
- Triprolidine hydrochloride 1.25 mg
- Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30 mg
- Guiafenesin 100 mg
Sucrose, ethanol (6.92% v / v), sorbitol, sodium benzoate, hydroxybenzoate metillo, orange yellow S (E110), Menthol Flavor FC 900 853, and Purified water, q.s..


PROPERTIES
Triprolidine provides symptomatic relief in dependent wholly or partly of the release of histamine allergies.
Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract, especially the nasal mucous membranes.
Guaifenesin reduces viscosity secretion and increasing the cough reflex ciliary activity, thereby expelling the secretions is facilitated.


INDICATIONS
Symptomatic relief of nasal congestion and cough in catarrh, flu and cold.


POSOLOGY
Adults and children over 12 years old: 10 ml, 3 times a day.
Geriatric Use: the same dose as for adults, but it would be advisable to monitor renal function and / or liver is recommended. Seek medical advice.
Drink water after each dose of medication.


CONTRAINDICATIONS
Iniston expectorant and DECONGESTANT is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to any of its components.
should not be administered in patients with chronic persistent cough or due to snuff, asthma or emphysema, or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretions or active tuberculosis. Contraindicated in patients with severe hypertension or severe coronary artery disease or in cases of hyperthyroidism in patients being treated for Parkinson's or MAOI antidepressants (monoamine oxidase inhibitors,) or have received this treatment in the previous two weeks.
Women breast feeding should not take this medicine as it passes into breast milk.


PRECAUTIONS
Do not administer to children under 12 years old without consulting the doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Iniston expectorant and DECONGESTANT should be administered with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, anemia or elevated intraocular pressure (glaucoma).
This product may cause drowsiness and impaired the results of tests of auditory vigilance. Patients should not drive or operate hazardous machinery to determine their level of response.
Patients treated with Iniston expectorant and DECONGESTANT should avoid simultaneous use of alcohol intake during the treatment period or the use of medicines that act centrally.
Iniston DECONGESTANT expectorant and should be used with caution in patients treated with antihypertensives, tricyclic antidepressants or other sympathomimetic medicines. It should also be used with caution in patients with prostate disorders or in patients with hepatic or renal impairment.
Consult your doctor if the cough persists for more than five days, tends to worsen or if accompanied by fever, rash, persistent headache or sore throat.


IMPORTANT FOR WOMEN

WARNINGS EXCIPIENTS
This medicine contains 2.48 g of sucrose per 5 ml, which should be considered in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose absorption problems / galactose, sucrose-isomaltase deficiency and diabetic patients.
This product contains 6.92% v / v ethanol in final volume. Each 5 ml containing 0.279 g of ethanol which can be a risk in children, pregnant women and patients with liver disease, alcoholism, epilepsy, brain damage or injuries. You can modify or enhance the effect of other medicines.
This medicine contains 1 g of sorbitol per 5 ml. It can cause stomach upset and diarrhea. Should not be used in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance.
This product contains Yellow Orange S (E110) as an excipient. It can cause allergic reactions, including asthma, particularly in patients allergic to acetylsalicylic acid.


INTERACTIONS
Concomitant use of Iniston expectorant and decongestant sympathomimetic medicines or monoamine oxidase inhibitors can occasionally cause an increase in blood pressure (see CONTRAINDICATIONS and PRECAUTIONS). Iniston EXPECTORANT can change the hypotensive effect of antihypertensive medicines œ and ß-adrenergic blockers.


SIDE EFFECTS
central depression or excitement, drowsiness, sleep disturbances, hallucinations, skin rash with or without irritation, tachycardia, dry mouth, nose and throat and difficulty urinating nervous system can occur.


OVERDOSE AND ITS TREATMENT
Symptoms and signs of overdose include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, lethargy, rapid eye movements, weakness, respiratory depression, dry skin and mucous membranes, tachycardia, hypertension, increased temperature, hyperactivity, irritability and seizures , difficulty urinating.
