Quantitative composition per 100 g
Dimetindeno (DCI) maleate 100 mg.
Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, edetate sodium, Carbopol 974 P, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, purified water.
Many different skins respond against external agents releasing a substance called histamine, responsible for an allergic reaction characterized by a rash (urticaria, etc.) accompanied by itching (pruritus).
The itching can be caused by external allergens, the most common: insect bites and marine animals, plants, soaps, colognes, paints and dyes, some fabrics, metals (jewelry). You can also relieve itching in superficial burns.
Fenistil Gel, derived from fenindeno, is an active antihistamine, capable of producing an antipruritic effect (relieves itching).
Gel Fenistil is in the form of hydrogel; It shows good skin penetration and relieves itching (pruritis) and irritation producing a cooling effect on the affected skin.
Fenistil Gel acts quickly on the skin. Its antihistamine effect starts in a few minutes reaching its maximum effect after 4 hours from 1 application.
Symptomatic relief of itching (pruritus) of the skin produced by plants or insect bites and generally of allergic contact phenomena accompanied by itching.
Apply 2-4 times a day in a thin layer on the skin of the affected area.
- Hypersensitivity to any of its components,
- Exudative dermatitis inflamed skin.
Avoid sun exposure of the treated skin area, and prolonged or extensive skin areas use.
Do not eat.
Avoid to contact eyes, mouth, ear or other mucous membranes.
If symptoms persist more than 7 days or worsen, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Children: Suitable for children from 1 month.
Important for women: If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Drug use during pregnancy can be dangerous for the embryo or elfeto and should be monitored by your doctor.
The same precautions should be taken during lactation, as there are no data on the excretion of dimetindeno in breast milk after topical application.
Have been observed in some cases slight skin reactions of short duration, like dryness or burning sensation. In isolated cases allergic reactions.
