COMPOSITION:
Each chewable tablet contains:
Calcium Carbonate  ........................ 680 mg
Magnesium carbonate......................... 80 mg
Sorbitol, pregelatinized starch maize, potato starch, talc, magnesium stearate, light liquid paraffin, mint flavor, sodium saccharin.

ACTIVITY
Antacid.

INDICATIONS
Symptomatic treatment of complaints resulting from gastric hyperacidity, such as heartburn and heartburn.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
severe renal insufficiency, hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels) and hyperphosphatemia. History of kidney stones of calcium.
Hypersensitivity or allergy to any component.

PRECAUTIONS
Avoid prolonged use.

INTERACTIONS AND INCOMPATIBILITIES
Simultaneous administration of chewable tablets Rennie with saccharin with other medications such as tetracyclines and quinolones, may interfere with the absorption of these. Therefore, it is recommended spaced 1 to 2 hours antacid administration with other medicines.

WARNINGS
- Pregnancy and lactation: Although it is known, the administration of Rennie during pregnancy and lactation should not entail any risk to the fetus or child, pregnant women or nursing should consult with your doctor before taking this medicine.

The administration of chewable tablets Rennie with saccharin in subjects with impaired renal function may lead to hypercalcemia and metabolic alkalosis (milk alkali syndrome).

Warnings about excipients
This medicine contains 0.4 g of sorbitol as an excipient per tablet. It can cause stomach upset and diarrhea. Should not be used in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance.

DOSAGE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CORRECT ADMINISTRATION OF THE PREPARATION
Orally.
Adults and children over 12 years old: The usual dose is 1 or 2 tablets, preferably administered 1 hour after meals and before bedtime. Additionally, if heartburn between meals, you can administer an extra dose. It is not recommended to take more than 6 tablets throughout the day, except medical advice.
Rennie tablets should be chewed or allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth. No they should be swallowed whole.

OVERDOSE
Prolonged administration of high doses of calcium carbonate can lead to the onset of gastric symptoms (nausea and vomiting) and abnormal muscle fatigue. In these cases discontinue the product.
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately or call the Toxicology Information Service Center, Tf: (91) 562.04.20, indicating the medicine and the amount taken.

ADVERSE REACTIONS
When normally used at recommended doses, is not expected the occurrence of adverse effects.
Prolonged use of high doses can lead to the onset of nausea, vomiting and abnormal muscle fatigue, especially in patients with impaired renal function.

EXPIRATION
