 1. What is Strepsils and what it is used
Strepsils belongs to the group of medicines called antiseptics.
It is used for local symptomatic relief of mild infections of the mouth and throat that occur without fever in adults and children from 6 years.
You should consult a doctor if worsens or does not improve after 2 days of treatment.


 2. What you need to know before you start taking Strepsils
Do not take Strepsils if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, or amylmetacresol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and Precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before you start taking Strepsils.

 3. How to take Strepsils

The recommended dose is:
Adults: 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours, when necessary, to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Use in children
Children from 6 years: 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours, when necessary, to a
maximum of 4 pills in 24 hours. Taking Strepsils:
oropharyngeal use to dissolve in the mouth.
Let dissolve slowly a lozenge in the mouth. Not swallow, chew or bite.
