COMPOSITION
Suppository: Propyphenazone (DCI) 500 mg, 75 mg Caffeine Anhydrous
Excipients: yellow iron oxide, red iron oxide, fatty suppository excipient.

ACTIVITY
Optalidón is a preparation of propyphenazone, analgesic action, and caffeine, central nervous system stimulant.
INDICATIONS
Relief of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, dental pain and menstrual pain.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The propyphenazone not be given under the following conditions:
Hypersensitivity to this medication or other analg musicians as metamizol, phenylbutazone or other pyrazolone.
Sensitivity to caffeine or other xanthines (aminophylline, diprophylline, oxtriphylline, theobromine, theophylline).
If blood disorders (granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis).
Do not take this medicine if your doctor has diagnosed with a metabolic disease such as porphyria and d cong nito deficit of glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
Hypersensitivity to aspirin or other anti-inflammatory and analgesic.
liver disease, kidney or severe heart.
Anxiety disorders.
PRECAUTIONS
Do not exceed the recommended dose Dosage paragraph of, or use more than 10 days. If pain persists, worse or other symptoms, especially fever or sore mouth, you must discontinued immediately and consult your doctor.
INTERACTIONS
The propyphenazone may potentiate the action of oral anticoagulants.
Call your doctor or pharmacist m if you are taking other medication.
Simultaneously not drink large amounts of coffee, tea, colas or use other medicines that contain caffeine.
With diagnostic tests: This medication may interfere with some analytical values of blood and urine. Tell the doctor if you have taken the medicine and avoid using 1 or 2 days earlier.

The recommended dose is 1 suppository per day. The maximum dose is 2 suppositories day.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CORRECT ADMINISTRATION OF THE PREPARATION
If the suppository is too soft to insert, I chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or put it under running cold water before removing the plastic wrap or later if necessary to prevent softening.
OVERDOSE
Symptoms of overdose are: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, agitation, seizures and coma.
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, immediately seek medical center or call the poison control center (Telephone: (+034) (91) -562.04.20), indicating the medicine and the amount taken.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Not usually observed at recommended doses. In hypersensitive subjects have been observed very rarely allergic skin reactions type: redness or itching, skin changes with blistering, hives or shock. In this case, stop treatment and seek medical advice. Occasionally dizziness, nausea, nervousness, difficulty sleeping, rapid heartbeat or gastrointestinal irritation may occur.
