What Bisolvon Expectorant is and what it is used for
Bisolvon Expectorant is a herbal medicine used as an expectorant for productive cough in adults, adolescents, and children over 2 years of age.
How to take Bisolvon Expectorant
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended doses are:
Adolescents, adults and the elderly
4 ml of Bisolvon Expectorant two to three times a day (equivalent to 66-99 mg daily of dry extract of ivy leaves).
Use in children
Children from 6 to 12 years old:
4 ml of Bisolvon Expectorant twice a day (equivalent to 66 mg daily of dry extract of ivy leaves).
Children from 2 to 5 years old:
2 ml of Bisolvon Expectorant twice a day (equivalent to 33 mg daily of dry extract of ivy leaves).
In children aged 2 to 4 years with persistent or recurrent cough, medical diagnosis is required before starting treatment.
Children under 2 years:
Bisolvon Expectorant should not be administered to children under the age of 2 years due to the risk of worsening respiratory symptoms.
Shake the bottle well before using this medicine. Take Bisolvon Expectorant orally with the included measuring spoon. The measuring spoon is graduated in 1, 2, 3 and 4 ml to ensure that you always take the recommended dose.
You should consult a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after a week of treatment.
If you take more Bisolvon Expectorant than you should
Overdose can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and restlessness.
If you take more Bisolvon Expectorant than you should, talk to your doctor who will be able to decide on the necessary measures.
If you forget to take Bisolvon Expectorant
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Continue taking the usual dose at the usual time.
