What Iberogast is and what it is used for
Iberogast is a herbal medicine that contains liquid ethanolic extracts of white hornbeam, angelica roots, chamomile flowers, caraway fruits, milk thistle fruits, lemon balm leaves, mint leaves, celandine, licorice root.

This medicine is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia (digestion disorder) and gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), as well as in the relief of associated symptoms, stomach pain, abdominal bloating, flatulence, gastrointestinal cramps, nausea and heartburn.
Iberogast is indicated in adults and adolescents over 12 years old.

You should see a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 7 days of treatment.

How to take Iberogast
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. If in doubt, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

The normal recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: take 20 drops of Iberogast, 3 times a day before or during meals, along with a little liquid.

If symptoms persist or worsen after 7 days of treatment, a doctor should be consulted.
After 2 months of using the medicine, ask your doctor about the possibility of continuing the treatment. The duration of this, depends on the type, severity and evolution of the disease.

Remember to shake the medicine before using it.

Use in children and adolescents:
Administration of this medicine is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

If you take more Iberogast than you should
So far, there have been no cases of acute overdose. However, the alcohol content present in the product must be considered.
In case of overdose, the described adverse effects could be potentiated. In case of accidental ingestion, immediately consult your pharmacist or doctor or call the Toxicology Information Service, telephone 91 562 04 20, indicating the product and the amount ingested.

If I forget to take Iberogast
If you have forgotten to take Iberogast, the next dose will be carried out as described in the instructions in this leaflet or according to the dose that your doctor has indicated. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
