What Magnesioboi is and what it is used for
This medicine contains magnesium lactate. It belongs to a group of medicines called "mineral supplements".
It is used for the prevention of magnesium deficiency states due to diets poor in vegetables, whole grains and legumes that manifest with weakness and muscle cramps that could occur in adults and children over 12 years of age.
You should see a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 7 days.
How to take Magnesioboi
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose for adults and children 12 years of age and older is 1 to 2 tablets (48.62 mg to 97.24 mg magnesium), after each of the three meals (146 mg to 292 mg magnesium per day). The tablets should be ingested with a sufficient amount of liquid.
The maximum recommended dose should not be exceeded (6 tablets per day).
Elderly patients, children under 12 years and patients with kidney disease should consult a doctor.
This medicine is administered orally.
If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days of treatment, you should consult a doctor.
If you take more Magnesioboi than you should
If you have taken more medicine than you should, immediately consult your doctor or pharmacist.
In cases of poisoning caused by ingesting high doses, or in patients with kidney failure with decreased urine output, an increase in blood magnesium levels may occur. In this case, the following manifestations may occur: nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, double vision, dizziness, impaired speech, swallowing problems, muscle weakness, red skin, decreased blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythm and cardiac arrest.
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, immediately consult your doctor or pharmacist or call the Toxicological Information Service (Telephone 91.562.04.20), indicating the medicine and the amount ingested.
If you forget to take Magnesioboi
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Take your dose as soon as you remember and continue treatment as before.
