What is expectorant cinfatos and what is it used for?
It is a medicine that contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide that is an antitussive and guaifenesin that is an expectorant.

It is indicated for the relief of cough and to facilitate the expulsion of excess mucus and phlegm in colds and flu for adults and children from 6 years.

You should see a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 7 days of treatment.

How to take expectorant cinfatos
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents from 12 years: 5ml or 10ml, every 4-6 hours as needed. Maximum 60 ml / 24 hours.

Use in children
- Children from 6 to 12 years old: 2.5 ml or 5 ml every 4-6 hours as needed. Maximum 30 ml / 24 hours.
Serious side effects can occur in children in case of overdose, including neurological disturbances. Caregivers should not exceed the recommended dose.
- Children from 2 to 6 years old: there are other presentations more suitable for this population. Administer only under medical supervision, due to the risk of paradoxical effects of CNS stimulation.
- Children under 2 years: contraindicated

Patients with hepatic impairment: the dose should be reduced to half that recommended for each population, in no case exceeding 4 daily doses.

This medicine is taken orally.

How to drink:
Measure the amount of medicine to take with the measuring cup that comes with the bottle.
After use, wash the measuring cup.
It is recommended to drink a glass of water after each intake and plenty of liquid during the day.
It can be taken with or without food.
Do not take with grapefruit or bitter orange juice or with alcoholic beverages (see section Taking cinphytos expectorant with food, drinks and alcohol).

You should see a doctor if you get worse, or if you also have a high fever, skin rash or persistent headache, or if it does not improve after 7 days of treatment.
