What Ibudol is and what it is used for
Ibudol comes as an oral suspension to be taken directly from the sachet or dissolved in water.
Ibuprofen, the active substance in this medicine, works by reducing pain and fever.

It is indicated in adults and adolescents from 12 years and over 40 kg of weight for the symptomatic relief of occasional mild or moderate pain, such as headaches, dental, menstrual, muscular (contractures) or back pain (lumbago) , as well as in feverish states.

How to take Ibudol
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. If in doubt, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents (over 40 Kg of weight) from 12 years:
A 400 mg sachet will be taken every 6-8 hours, if necessary. No more than 3 sachets (1200 mg) will be taken after 24 hours.

Children and adolescents:
The use of this medicine is not recommended in children, nor in adolescents weighing less than 40 kg since the dose of ibuprofen it contains is not adequate for the recommended dosage in these patients.

Elderly patients (> 65 years):
Dosage should be established by the physician as there may be a need for a reduction in the usual dose. Elderly people are often more likely to experience side effects, so the dose should sometimes be reduced. Consult your doctor.

Patients with kidney, liver or heart disease:
In patients with mild or moderate disease, the starting dose should be reduced. Ibuprofen should not be used in patients with severe kidney, liver or heart failure.

Administration form
This medicine is administered orally.

Ibudol is a suspension. It must be homogenized before taking by pressing with the fingers the top and bottom of the envelope several times. It can be taken directly from the envelope or diluted in water. In case of gastrointestinal discomfort it is recommended to take the medicine with meals.

Always use the lowest dose that is effective. The administration of the preparation is subject to the appearance of pain or fever. As these disappear, the medication should be discontinued.

If symptoms worsen, if fever persists for more than 3 days or pain for more than 5 days (3 days in adolescents), you should consult a doctor.
