What Lacovin is and what it is used for
Lacovin is a solution for use on the skin of the scalp that stimulates hair growth in individuals with androgenic alopecia (most common type of baldness) when applied topically.
This medicine is indicated for the treatment of moderate hair loss of androgenic origin in adults.
You should see a doctor or pharmacist if it gets worse or does not improve after 30 days.
How to use LACOVIN
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 2 ml a day.
- Wash your hands before application.
- Hair and scalp must be completely dry when applying the product.
- Apply 1 ml of solution with the help of the syringe, twice a day, in the morning and at night.
- Spread the amount of solution with the fingertips on the area to be treated, starting from the center of it. Do not apply it to other areas of the body.
- Do not use a hand dryer to speed up the drying of the product.
- The daily dose will not be more than 2 ml, regardless of the extent of the hairless area to be treated.
- Wash your hands carefully after application to avoid hair growth on other unwanted areas of the body.
As with other medications, the degree of response to treatment depends on each patient, therefore, a 4-month treatment may be necessary before hair begins to grow.
The recommended daily dose should be respected regardless of the extent of the alopecia. Do not increase the dose or the frequency of application.
Your doctor or pharmacist will indicate the duration of your treatment with Lacovin. Do not stop treatment prematurely, as there are data that if you stop treatment for 3-4 months, you may return to the initial state of alopecia that you had before starting treatment.
