Cristalmina 10 mg / ml is a medicine for cutaneous use whose active ingredient is chlorhexidine digluconate. Chlorhexidine digluconate is an antiseptic that is applied to the skin.

It is indicated as an antiseptic for minor skin burns and burns and as an antiseptic for the navel in newborns.

You should see a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 5 days.

How to use Cristalmina 10 mg / ml
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not dilute. It is recommended to clean and dry the wound before applying this medicine. Apply on the affected area, or on gauze, once or twice a day. Do not make more than two daily applications of the product.

If you use more Cristalmina 10 mg / ml than you should
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, immediately consult your doctor or pharmacist or call the Toxicology Information Service, telephone 91 562 04 20, indicating the medicine and the amount ingested.

Information for the healthcare professional
In case of accidental ingestion, proceed with gastric lavage and protection of the digestive mucosa.
Cases of hemolysis have been reported after ingestion of chlorhexidine. In case of hemolysis, a blood transfusion may be necessary.
