What Canespie Clotrimazole is and what it is used for
Clotrimazole is an antifungal (medicine used to treat fungal infections).
It is indicated for the treatment of ¿athlete's foot¿, which is a superficial infection of the skin caused by fungi and located between the folds of the toes.
The main symptoms of athlete's foot are: itching, redness (erythema), cracks between the toes, peeling and can lead to inflammation or pustules. It only appears on the feet. It usually starts between the toes, but can also extend to the sole and sides of the feet.
You should see your doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 10 days of treatment.
How to use Canespie Clotrimazole
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist again.
Cutaneous use.
The recommended dose is:
An application on the affected area of the feet 2-3 times a day. The treatment should last from 3 to 4 weeks.
Apply and spread a small amount of the product to completely cover the affected area and the surrounding area, with special attention between the folds of the toes. Rub until completely absorbed.
A strip of cream, about 2 cm, is enough to treat a hand-sized area (back and palm). As orientation 2 cm equals the length of the last phalanx of the index finger.
To avoid relapse in these infections, it is recommended to continue treatment for 2 more weeks, after all symptoms disappear.
Recommendations for the use of the cream:
For a correct application follow the indicated steps:
1 Before applying the product, wash your feet with soap and water to remove skin flakes and any traces of the last treatment. After washing they should be thoroughly dried, especially the interdigital spaces.
2 Apply a small amount of the product and spread it until it completely covers the affected area and the area around the infection until it is completely absorbed, especially between the folds of the toes.
3 Close the tube tightly after use.
4 Wash your hands after each application.
It is advisable to use well-ventilated shoes, avoid rubber shoes and soles, avoid fiber socks and change socks with each application due to the possibility of re-infection. To avoid contagions, you should not share towels, socks or footwear with other people or walk barefoot in swimming pools, changing rooms and collective bathrooms. It is recommended to wash hands after each application.
If after 10 days of use you do not see an improvement in your symptoms, consult your doctor.

Use in children and adolescents
Use in children under 12 years of age under medical supervision. No dose adjustment is required.
If you use more Canespie Clotrimazole than you should
If you have applied too much, you can remove it by washing the affected area with lukewarm water or simply removing part.
Given the concentration of the active ingredient and the route of application, intoxication is not possible even in the event of accidental ingestion.

If you forget to use Canespie Clotrimazole
If you forget to use this medication when appropriate, apply the cream as soon as you know it and continue with your regular treatment regimen. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
