What is Aero-red and what is it used for?
Aero-red belongs to the group of medications that acts in the intestine by destroying gas bubbles, facilitating their elimination and relieving the discomfort it causes.
It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of gas in adults.
You should see a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 10 days.

What you need to know before you start taking Aero-red
Do not take Aero-red if:
- you are allergic to simethicone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- suffering from known or suspected intestinal perforation and obstruction.

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor if you get worse or do not improve after 10 days of treatment or if you have prolonged constipation.

Children
This medication is not recommended for use in children because there is no experience in this population.

Taking Aero-red with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

Pregnancy, and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Since the passage of simethicone into the blood is negligible, pregnant and lactating women could take this medication after consulting their doctor.

Driving and using machines
Aero-red has no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Aero-red contains glucose and sucrose
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

How to take Aero-red
Exactly follow the medication administration instructions contained in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 1 chewable tablet (120 mg simethicone), after each of the main meals.
This dose may be repeated, whenever necessary, up to a maximum of 4 chewable tablets (480 mg of simethicone) per day.
This medication is taken by mouth.
Chew the tablets well before swallowing them (they should not be swallowed whole).
If symptoms worsen or persist after 10 days of treatment, you should stop treatment and see a doctor.

If you take more Aero-red than you should
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, go to a medical center, consult your doctor or pharmacist or call the Toxicological Information Service, telephone: 91 562 04 20, indicating the medication and the amount ingested.

If you forget to take Aero-red
Do not take a double dose to make up for missed doses.
