What Blastostimulin is and what it is used for
Blastostimulin contains Centella asiatica extract as an active ingredient, with healing action.
Blastostimulin is indicated for the healing of wounds, fissures, ulcers, sores, bedsores, and other erosions (or cracks) of the skin. It is also indicated in the healing of minor burns and post-operative wounds.

What you need to know before you use Blastostimulin
Do not use Blastostimulin if:
- if you are allergic to Centella asiatica extract or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- in eczema (rash) of the skin.
- in severe burns or ulcers or that affect large areas of the skin, except if your doctor tells you so.
- In the eyes.

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or sick person before using Blastostimulin.
Do not eat. Cutaneous use only (on the skin).
You should not use this medicine for long periods of time or on infected wounds.
If you do not observe clinical improvement after 7 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor who will review the appropriateness of the treatment.

children and adolescents
This medicine is not recommended in children and adolescents due to the lack of safety and efficacy data in this population.

Other medicines and Blastostimulin
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
No interactions are known to date.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
There are no data regarding the use of this medicine during pregnancy or lactation, therefore the use of Blastostimulin is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

Driving and using machines
The use of Blastostimulin does not produce adverse effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Blastostimulin contains propylene glycol (E-1520), diethylene glycol palmitostearate and fragrances containing allergens.
This medicine contains 291 mg of propylene glycol and 171 mg of diethylene glycol palmitostearate in each gram of ointment.
Propylene Glycol and Diethylene Glycol Palmitostearate may cause skin irritation. Do not use on open wounds or large areas of damaged skin (such as burns) without first consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
This medicine contains fragrances with allergens, such as geranium essence with: citronellol, geraniol, linalool, citral and d-limonene; and lavender essence with: linalool, d-limonene, coumarin, geraniol, citronellol, benzyl alcohol, benzyl cinnamate, anisyl alcohol, amylcinnamaldehyde, 3-methyl-4-(2,6,6-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1 -yl)-3-butene-2-one and citral.
Allergens can cause allergic reactions.

How to use Blastostimulin
Follow exactly the instructions for administration of the medicine contained in this leaflet or those indicated by your doctor, pharmacist or patient. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Cutaneous use. Do not eat.
The recommended dose in adults is: apply the ointment 1 to 3 times a day, in sufficient quantity to obtain a thin layer on the area to be treated. It is recommended before starting the treatment by cleaning the affected area, removing any organic debris.

If you use more Blastostimulin than you should
Due to its cutaneous use, cases of intoxication are not likely to occur, unless they are accidentally used on large surfaces of the skin and a dose much higher than those recommended.
