Each 5 ml contain:
Pyrantel (DCI) (pamoate) ........................ 250 mg
Excipients: Citric acid, antifoam AF, sodium benzoate, caramel flavor, taste currant, glycerin, lecithin, polyvinylpyrrolidone, sorbitol 70%, Tween 80, Veegum and Purified Water q.s.

ACTIONS
TRILOMBRIN is an anthelmintic effective against parasitic infestations by Enterobius vermicularis (Oxiuros), Ascaris lumbricoides (ascariasis), Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus (hookworm), and Trichostrongylus and orientalis (tricostrongliasis). TRILOMBRIN have any activity against Trichurls trichiura (whipworm).

TRILOMBRIN exerts a neuromuscular blocking action on sensitive helminth parasites immobilizing and causing his expulsion without producing excitement and stimulate their migration. In the intestine, TRILOMBRIN is effective against mature and immature forms of sensitive helminths. Normal migratory stages of the worms are not affected. TRILOMBRIN Ei is poorly absorbed by the digestive tract. After administration, more than 50% is excreted unchanged in the feces; less than 7% is in the urine unchanged and as metabolites.

INDICATIONS
TRILOMBRIN is specifically indicated for the treatment of infestations by gastrointestinal parasites following both a single species infestations helminth as mixed.
Enterobius vermicularis: Oxyuriasis; Ascaris lumbricoides: Ascaridiasis; Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus: Hookworm; And Trichostrongylus orientalis: trichostrongyliasis.

TRILOMBRIN is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by one or more helminth, both adults and children. TRILOMBRIN is well tolerated; does not stain the oral mucosa by ingestion or underwear contamination by feces. The presence of an infestation with any of these parasites in a family member or groups of neighboring people may indicate infestation in other members. In these circumstances the administration of TRILOMBRIN the whole family or all members of the group of people close is recommended. Rigorous cleaning clothes and rooms to destroy the eggs of helminths help prevent reinfestation.

DOSAGE
The recommended dosage schedule for TRILOMBRIN in treating infestacioens caused by susceptible helminths is 10 mg pyrantel pamoate (TRILOMBRIN) per kg of body weight, administered orally in a single dose.
The following simplified dosing schedule based on an estimation of body weight can be of practical use:
From 6 months to 2 years old ............... less than 12 kg .............  1/2 Teaspoon
From 2 to 6 years old .............................. 12 to 22 Kg ................. 1 Teaspoon
From 6 to 12 years old .......................... 22 to 41 Kg ................... 2 Teaspoon
Over 12 years old and adults ................ 41 to 75 Kg ..................... 3 Teaspoon
Adults ................................ over 75 kg ............................. 4 Teaspoon

Use during pregnancy:
Although experimental studies animal reproduction has not been observed any teratogenic effect TRILOMBRIN no experience of use during pregnancy and therefore their administration is not recommended for pregnant women unless the doctor considers it essential to the welfare of the patient.

TRILOMBRIN should be used with caution in patients with a history of liver disease as they have appeared discrete and transient elevations of SGOT in a small percentage of cases.

Use in children:
In children under 2 years old should only be given if the judgment of the physician the benefit to be obtained with the possible risk of unforeseen side effects.
