What Respir is and what it is used for
This medicine belongs to the group of medicines called sympathomimetics. It is a nasal decongestant medication that contains oxymetazoline as the active ingredient. Oxymetazoline administered through the nose, produces constriction of blood vessels locally, decongesting the nasal mucosa.

It is indicated for the local and temporary relief of nasal congestion, in adults and children from 6 years.

You should see a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 3 days of treatment.

How to use Respir
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and children over 6 years old
2-3 sprays in each nostril, every 10-12 hours, in the morning and at night. Do not give more than 2 applications in 24 hours.

Children under 6 years
This medicine cannot be used in children under 6 years of age (see section 2. Do not use Respir).

Over 65 years
Consult your doctor or pharmacist as older people are more sensitive to the side effects of this medicine.

How to use
This medicine is used nasal.

Before applying this medicine, you must remove the existing nasal fluids, blowing your nose well.

To avoid infection, after each use and before closing the container, the end of the applicator should be wiped with a clean, damp cloth. In addition, each container must be used only by 1 person.

Nebulizer bottle: With the head upright, place the opening of the atomizer in the nostril without completely obstructing it. During each application, tilt your head forward slightly and aspirate rapidly while squeezing the bottle.

Bottle with spray pump: Remove the protective cap, direct towards the nostril and press down on the spray device.
