What Rhinospray Eucalyptus is and what it is used for
It is a nasal decongestant medicine that contains tramazoline hydrochloride as an active ingredient and that when administered in the nose produces a local constriction of blood vessels, decongesting the nasal mucosa.

This medicine is indicated for the local and temporary relief of nasal congestion in adults and children from 6 years of age.
You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days of treatment.

What you need to know before you use Rhinospray Eucalyptus.
Do not use Rhinospray Eucalyptus if:
- if you are allergic to tramazoline hydrochloride, other adrenergic decongestants or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- if you have an eye disease with increased pressure, dry nasal mucosa with crusting (dry rhinitis) or if you have had cranial surgery through the nasal cavity.
- if you have recently had an operation on your head (if you have undergone a cranial, transnasal or transoral surgery).
Children under 6 years of age cannot use this medicine.

Warnings and cautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Rhinospray Eucalyptus:
- If you suffer from high blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, prostate problems, porphyrin metabolism disorder and pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal glands).
- If you are being treated with medicines for depression and medicines for the treatment of changes in blood pressure.
The continued use of medications for nasal congestion can cause chronic inflammation and atrophy of the nasal mucous membrane and therefore nasal blockage. If you suffer from chronic nasal obstruction you should consult your doctor and do not continue using the product on your own initiative.
When the effect of the drug diminishes, a rebound inflammation of the lining of the nose may appear.
You should avoid contact with the eyes to avoid irritation.
- If it causes insomnia, avoid using the medicine in the late afternoon or evening.

Children
Do not administer to children under 6 years of age. Children can be especially prone to the appearance of adverse effects of this medicine.

Use in over 65s
Consult your doctor or pharmacist as older people are more sensitive to the adverse effects of this medicine.

Using Rhinospray Eucalyptus with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might take any other medicines.
The simultaneous use of Rhinospray Eucalyptus with some medicines to treat depression (MAOIs or tricyclic antidepressants) or with medicines used to treat low blood pressure (vasopressor medicines), can cause an increase in blood pressure.
Simultaneous use with tricyclic antidepressants can also lead to heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmias). Interaction with antihypertensive drugs (drugs used to lower high blood pressure) can cause cardiovascular disorders.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you might be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
This medicine should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines
Do not drive or use machines if you experience hallucinations, drowsiness, sedation, fatigue or dizziness.

Rhinospray Eucalyptus contains benzalkonium chloride
This medicine can cause inflammation of the nasal mucosa, especially with long-term treatments, because it contains benzalkonium chloride. If such a reaction (persistent nasal congestion) is suspected, a nasal medication that does not contain this excipient should be used whenever possible.
